Classification of Industries Permitted in Goa

The Government of Goa has classified industries in the state under the Industrial Policy, 2003. These come under four clearly defined categories:

Red Category

Orange Category

Orange Specified Category

Green Category

Entrepreneurs seeking to set up ventures in Goa can check each category to see where their choice of industry or service is included.

Certain industries are not encouraged in Goa. Those in the Red category are not encouraged, but the government can take a decision on whether a project will be approved or rejected.
