A connected world for everybody

A connected world for everybody

The pandemic has radically changed the life of many. And while the world wonders whether these changes will last forever or we will all go back to our normal life, for sure we now know that a big part of our life will be lived online.

Even volunteering is now done online!
Over the last few months, SlumAid has started online classes for underprivileged children. Hundreds of volunteers reached us to help with this projects. Who could have imagined that to give sense to a terrible year people needed to connect with those who need it most?

Our international volunteers are now teaching classes to children in Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Italy, Morocco, India. There is little doubt that being connected with the world it’s a great experience for the children and teenagers who participate in these programmes.

But this programme made us realise that even internet connections are a privilege. Many of our partners cannot participate in these programmes because they do not have internet connections in their schools, and getting good quality connections in some areas is truly hard.

The pandemic showed us the importance of being virtually connected. And with that it showed us the inequality that characterises our world. For this reason, we ask our friends and supporters to help us with our next campaign.

Help us connect the world! Become an advocate for the communities that do not have a voice, or better, that do not have a virtual voice. Let’s give them a way to stay in touch with the world, to develop, to progress through virtual education.

Fundraise with us to bring internet connections and computers to underserved areas and underprivileged communities!
